Bolts Munsey Makes Zim Afro T10 History

DAY 6 at Harare Sports Club will be etched in the Zim Afro T10 history books, courtesy of George Munsey’s phenomenal century.

The Scotsman’s 38-ball masterclass, featuring 10 sixes and six boundaries, propelled Harare Bolts to a record-breaking 173/2 against Durban Wolves. The Wolves struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling 54 runs short (119/6). Richard Gleeson’s miserly 2/2 spell sealed the deal.

In the day’s second match, Jo’Burg Bangla Tigers eliminated David Warner’s Bulawayo Brave Jaguars with a clinical display. Hazratullah Zazai (49) and Sikandar Raza (51) forged an unbeaten 108-run partnership, guiding the Tigers to 128/2. Tinashe Muchawaya dismissed Warner, while George Linde claimed three wickets, restricting the Jaguars to 91/9.

NYS Lagos secured qualification with a convincing win over Cape Town Samp Army. Rassie van der Dussen (51) and Avishka Fernando (66) laid the foundation with a 122-run opening stand. Lagos posted 133/2, before Oshane Thomas-led bowlers restricted Samp Army to 106/3, sealing a 27-run victory.
