Janet Mbabazi to captain Uganda in four-nation tournament

CRICKET UGANDA has named the Victoria Pearls squad for the Victoria Series, which runs from 6 to 14 November 2026. Uganda will face the United States, Namibia and Rwanda in the four-nation tournament.

Janet Mbabazi will lead the side. She is joined by Stephanie Nampiina, Proscovia Alako, Ritah Musamali, Esther Iloku and Immaculate Nakisuuyi. The rest of the squad is Kevin Awino, Malisa Ariokot, Sarah Walaza, Naume Amongin, Consylate Aweko, Sarah Akiteng, Asumin Akurut and Kampi Nainhabo.

The announcement comes just days before the opening match, giving the Pearls a short window to finalise preparations. The series offers the squad a chance to test itself against three international sides in a compact schedule.

The tournament is backed by Lyca Mobile, with support from Four Corners Transform Ltd, Movit Products, The Treehouse and Jibu.

The Victoria Pearls will look to start strongly on home soil and build momentum through the nine-day competition.
